Manos Tzimpragos on Voice of Greece | Thursday 19.10.2023, 16.00

On Thursday, October 19th, 4:00-5:00 in the afternoon, Greek time, Gianna Triantafylli’s guest on “Voice of Greece” and the show “The Voice that Unites Us” is Manos Tzimpragos, educator, until recently Head of the Educational Sector and Director of the Language and Culture Schools of the Greek Community of Melbourne.

Manos Tzimpragos was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. He studied English Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (BA Hons), drama (Tragkas’ Higher School of Drama), and E-Learning at the University of Piraeus (MSc). He has worked as a teacher for many years in schools of all levels (Primary Schools, High Schools, Lyceums, Technical Schools, Technical Vocational Lyceums).

From 2007 to 2010, he served as a seconded teacher in schools teaching Greek as a second or foreign language in Melbourne, Australia. During the same period, he served at the Victoria State Department of Education as Consultant for the Greek language. In this capacity, he was responsible for the design and implementation of programs such as the Greek Student Film Festival and a series of radio shows on the state network SBS with students of Greek schools.

From 2014 to 2021, he served as Head of the Educational Sector and as Director of the Language and Culture Schools of the Greek Community of Melbourne, one of the largest expatriate institutions of the Greek diaspora. In this capacity, he was responsible, among other things, for the design and coordination of the educational programs of the Greek Community of Melbourne, as well as the design and implementation of training programs for the teaching of Greek as a second-foreign language.
