On Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM (Athens time), Our Town will host Maria Iliou.
The discussion with Themis Rodamitis will highlight her distinguished and successful career as a director, screenwriter, producer, and author. Particular emphasis will be placed on her fiction films and the historical documentaries she has directed in recent years. Using previously unseen archival material, drawings, engravings, and photographs discovered and preserved across three continents, Maria Iliou, historian Alexander Kitroeff, and their collaborators unfold a captivating story that sheds light on the elements of the city that shaped its unique character.
The broadcast will feature music composed for the film by Katerina Polemi.
