”Our Town” tribute to Kostas Axelos | 14.01,2024, 12:00

On Sunday, January 14th,”Our Town” is dedicated to philosopher Kostas Axelos. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kostas Axelos, and the program honors the memory of this great thinker, who introduced reflections and opened up new paths in contemporary thought.

In the studio, the author, former journalist, former MEP and Athens Academy Award winner, Katerina Daskalaki, will tell us how Axelos developed, in a very special way, a post-philosophical and post-Marxist questioning, and how he tried early on to detect the problem of our planetary era.

The guest will refer to her long relationship and her personal life with the philosopher and will talk about her latest book entitled “Kostas Axelos, the nostalgia of the future”. References will be made to the relationship of the thinker with great philosophers (Heraclitus, Aristotle, Marx, Freud, Heidegger, etc.) as well as to his relationship with Art, Literature, everyday people, the concepts of God and death, and the legendary ship Mataroa.

The show will also feature emeritus professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Alexandra Deligiorgi and poet and journalist, Giorgos Douatzis, who also interviewed the philosopher.
