”Remarkabe Personalities” Ohi Day special | Saturday 28.10.2023, 20.00

On Saturday, October 28, 20:00-21:00 Greek time, the show “Remarkable Personalities”, presented by Mina Ralli, is dedicated to the historic anniversary of the “NO” that was the Greek reply to the Italians in 1940.

Professor at the Department of History and Archaeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Evanthis Chatzivasileiou, explains why October 28th is considered one of the most significant dates in Greece’s modern history and analyzes when and how its celebration began.

Moreover, Antonis Tsourdalakis, President of the Victorian National Anniversary Committee and Giorgos Vlachos, Education Coordinator at the Consulate General of Greece in Johannesburg, convey to us the mood from the celebrations for our national day by Greek expatriates in Australia and South Africa.

Curated and hosted by: Mina Ralli
