On Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Greek time, Gianna Triantafylli is joined by Thanos Koutsandreas, director of the documentary Folk Bards – Moments from their lives and ours, on the occasion of the screening of the film at Athens International Film Festival.. The film is a co-production by the municipality of Chalandri and ERT and dedicated to the late Panos Geramanis, Hellenic Radio journalist and radio producer and researcher of our folk and rebetiko singing tradition.
Panos Geramanis, the man who loved and supported our old, authentic folk song, was particularly loved by the Greek Diaspora and Greek seafarers, through his radio broadcasts on Voice of Greece.
