The Poet of the Week on Voice of Greece: Demosthenes Davvetas | 16 – 22 Dec. 2024

Voice of Greece, the radio station of ERT that serves the Greek diaspora, continues its poetry segment with “Poet of the Week” and “Poetess of the Week.” Each week features a contemporary Greek poet or poetess, including those from the diaspora. The poets themselves curate the radio interpretations, and the poems are accompanied by original music composed and performed by musicians from the ERT Orchestra, as well as pieces from beloved composers.

Seven poems each week—one Greek poem per day—travel through the frequencies of Voice of Greece, reaching Greek-speaking communities around the world.

From December 16th to December 22nd, 2024, the week is dedicated to Demosthenes Davvetas.

Music Curation: Maria Rempoutsika
Sound Editing: Eleftheria Papoutsaki – Giorgos Giannakoulas
Broadcasting: Monday to Friday at 07:00 and 19:00 Greek time, and on weekends at 19:00 Greek time.
