The fairy tales of G. Xenopoulos: “The Little Shepherds” | 09 Nov. 2024, 17:00

The story of two children living close to nature and animals. Two siblings, Giannis and Maro, who are fortunate enough to live permanently in the countryside, suddenly become shepherds. Their love for the little sheep and their curiosity to learn about their lives up close lead them to become friends with the animals. They will observe how the newborn lambs live and discover their great contribution to humanity. They will take part in learning how sheep wool is turned into socks, dresses, and suits. How much one learns when they get close to animals, and how much life in the countryside teaches us… (FROM THE PRESENTATION ON THE BACK COVER OF THE BOOK).

The short story “The Little Shepherds” from the legendary series of children’s tales “Treasures from the Formation of Children” by Grigorios Xenopoulos will be presented this Saturday, 09.11.2024, from 17:00 to 18:00 Athens time, on the show “Narratives – Stories and Fairytales for Small and Big Children” on the frequency of Voice of Greece.
