“Under Tolis’ Constellation”: a festive program to welcome the New Year | 31 Dec. 2024, 21:00

On Tuesday, December 31st, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM Athens time, the show “Our Town” will present a festive program titled “Under Tolis’ Constellation” to welcome the New Year.

This special broadcast features songs performed or written by the legendary folk singer Tolis Voskopoulos, interpreted in the inimitable style of Vasilis Lekkas.

A lively musical program with songs cherished and sung by many, etched in memory by their unique blend of lyrics and music, often associated with Greek cinema.

Iconic songs originally performed by great female voices (Jenny Vanou, Marinella, Litsa Diamanti) will be reinterpreted by Ioanna Emmanouil in her distinctive style.

The live performance will feature musicians:

  • Giorgos Konstantinidis (piano)
  • Stathis Savvidis and Dimitris Koufogiorgos (bouzouki)
  • Giannis Promponas (bass)
  • Andreas Nikolis (drums)
  • Christos Evagelatos (guitar)
  • Sofia Mavrogenidou (flute).

Broadcasting live from Studio B of Greek Radio, this program invites listeners in Greece and around the world to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with joy, cheer, and optimism.
