Anna Sotrini is the “Poet of the Week” | 16–22 Mar. 2026

Seven poems every week, one Greek poem each day, travel across the frequencies of Voice of Greece to the far corners of the world, wherever Greek voices can be found. The week from 16 March to 22 March 2026 is dedicated to the poet Anna Sotrini.

Anna Sotrini is an author, poet and theatre director. Since 1994 she has been involved in dramaturgical adaptation, directing and lighting design for a wide range of literary texts, including the stage adaptation of “Lambros” by Dionysios Solomos, “Pitsimbourgo” by Soti Triantafyllou, “Block Ichnografias” by Kostas Kartelias, and “King Leopold’s Soliloquy” by Mark Twain. She has also designed the lighting for her own productions as well as for productions by other directors, including performances at Athinais Theatre, the Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall and other venues. She teaches acting and improvisation at the Veaki Drama School. Sotrini has published both poetry and prose. Her latest poetry collection is “Tableau Vivant” (2025), published by Kedros Publishers.
