On Saturday, 25 July 2026, from 19:00 to 20:00 Athens time, Voice of Greece’s program “Narratives – Stories and Fairy Tales for Children and Grown-Ups” presents the second part of “Armando and the heart of books,” an allegorical environmental tale for listeners of all ages by author Giannis P. Papadatos, published by Kalentis.
The author tells children and adults the story of Armando, a young hero who dreams of building a great library in his little town. The book’s allegorical themes take on vivid emotional form through the illustrations of award-winning artist Fotini Stefanidi, whose pencil drawings create a world of magical realism for the story’s readers.
The book is part of the “Literary Narratives” series, which explores the love of reading, nature, and the environment through works by Greek authors that help shape children’s understanding of the world around them.
Children and adults are invited to tune in to ERT’s international radio service for an allegorical tale about nature, animals, humanity, and the power of knowledge, generously offered to us all through reading.
