SCHEDULE VOICE OF GREECE

Dimitris Papachristos, the voice behind the Polytechnic Resistance broadcasts, on Voice of Greece | 17 Nov. 2025, 22:00

On Monday, 17 November 2025, from 22:00 to 23:00 Athens time, the program “Our Town” with Themis Rodamitis presents a reflective tribute marking 52 years since the Polytechnic uprising –  honoring the young people who stood up to the violence of the military dictatorship of 21 April, even sacrificing their lives.

In the Voice of Greece studio will be Dimitris Papachristos, the announcer whose impassioned voice and urgent appeals broadcast from inside the occupied Polytechnic became one of the most powerful testimonies of those dramatic hours.

He will speak about the harrowing events as he lived them – the violence, fear, resolve, and the sacrifice “of the students in struggle, of the Greeks in struggle” – and recall the explosive atmosphere, the faces, the slogans, and the enduring passion behind the timeless demand for “bread, education, freedom.”

Produced and presented by Themis Rodamitis
Broadcast: Monday, 17 November 2025, 22:00–23:00 Athens time –  with a repeat on Tuesday from 05:00 to 06:00.
