Professor Eleftherios Platon of the Department of History and Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is the guest on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, at 22:00 Athens time, on the Voice of Greece program “Remarkable Personalities” with Christos Pagonis and Stavroula Karali.
Mr. Platon speaks about the history of the Minoan Civilization and the Palace of Knossos, the excavations of Arthur Evans that brought invaluable finds to light, the myth of the Minotaur and the labyrinth, as well as the social life and architecture of the Minoan palaces.
The guest also highlights the importance of the recent inclusion of the Minoan palaces on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
