On Monday, 08 December 2025, from 22:00 to 23:00 (Athens time), “Our Town” on Voice of Greece is devoted to the topic “Fashion – Under the Constellation of Modernity” (Μόδα – Στον αστερισμό της νεωτερικότητας).I n the studio will be Dimitris Lallas, author of the book of the same title and PhD in Sociology from Panteion University.
The guest will discuss the ways in which fashion shapes how we relate to ourselves, to others, to time, and to the objects around us. The fascination with the new, the renewal of the self, innovation, the acceleration of economic processes, and, more broadly, the accelerated lifestyle of late modernity are all intrinsic to fashion. The program will also highlight influential figures and fashion houses in relation to clothing—an area that continuously traces a trajectory toward novelty and reinvention.
