On Friday, 30 January, at 22:00 Athens time, Ilion Music School opens the curtain on a new series of live encounters for the program “Greek Jazz Players” on Voice of Greece, with guests of Pantazis Tsaras at Studio B of Hellenic Radio.
The school’s student jazz ensemble will present a selection of compositions from the classic jazz repertoire, under the direction of teacher and trumpeter Stelios Chatzikaleas, with piano accompaniment by teacher and pianist Kostas Giazoglou.
During the program, teachers Stelios Chatzikaleas, Sokratis Votskos, and Kostas Giazoglou will talk about the journey of this band and, more broadly, about the needs of a Music School, joined in the studio by the school’s principal, Nikos Anemodouriotis. The protagonists of this endeavour—the students themselves—will also take part in the discussion.
