Kassandra Fountoulaki is the Poet of the Week | 04–10 May 2026

Seven poems each week—one Greek poem every day—travel across the frequencies of Voice of Greece to every corner of the world where Greek voices are heard.

The week from 04 May to 10 May 2026 is dedicated to Kassandra Fountoulaki.

Kassandra Fountoulaki was born in 1992. She studied Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies in Classical Philology. She teaches in secondary education and is a member of the teaching staff at the Diakrotima tutoring group.
She also studied piano at the Athens Conservatoire and is active as both a teacher and a performer of classical music. In 2016, she published her first poetry collection, Chamber Music (Iolkos Publications), which was shortlisted among the top four books for the “Yannis Varveris 2017” Award for debut poets, presented by the Greek Authors’ Society. The Day That Grows Shorter is her second poetry collection.
