Journalist and author Menios Sakellaropoulos on “Remarkable Personalities” | 01 Apr. 2026, 22:00

Journalist and author Menios Sakellaropoulos is the guest of Stavroula Karali on Voice of Greece’s program “Remarkable Personalities”, this Wednesday, 01 April 2026, at 22:00 (Athens time).

Menios Sakellaropoulos has been honored four times by the Panhellenic Association of Sports Press and received the Botsis Award in 2004. The acclaimed journalist steps away from sports news to share a deeply human story—the story of Soultana, the heroine of his book “Soultana: I Loved One Man” (Psychogios Publications).

Soultana, a symbolic figure born during the time of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, lived through all the major turning points of modern Greek history. She represents an entire generation—the silent generation of people who did not write History, but lived it. Those who spoke little, yet endured. And through that endurance, they survived and created.

In this conversation, the author sheds light not only on the historical events that shaped his heroine, but also on the deeper human imprint of a woman who withstood repeated blows of fate and remained standing.

Produced and presented by Stavroula Karali
Sound editing: Kostas Kyriakakis

Broadcast: Wednesday 01 April 2026, 22:00–23:00 (Athens time)
