On Sunday, 20 July 2025, at 14:00 Athens time, Elena Falirea welcomes musician and author Anestis Barbatsis to the studio of Voice of Greece and the show “Folk Paths”.
The conversation is inspired by Barbatsis’ book “Bagianteras – Dimitris Gogos, the Pre-War Years” and leads into a tribute to the great rebetiko artist Dimitris Gogos – known as Bagianteras – which will take place in Platanidia, Magnesia, on Tuesday 22 July, as part of the 16th “Meeting of Literature and Music”. The tribute will be held at the estate of writer and songwriter Thomas Korovinis, with whom there will also be a live phone-in.
