“Our Town” tribute to the legendary photographer Nelly’s | 21 July 2024, 12:00

The great Greek photographer Nelly’s managed to shape with her lens a distinct aesthetic in the field of photography and to highlight the human body as an artistic value.

In the studio, PhD in art history, museologist and exhibition curator Katerina Koskina will speak about her acquaintance and close friendship with the photographer that started at the European Cultural Center of Delphi and continued until the end of the photographer’s life. Koskina organized the first major exhibition for the photographer, at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​with the theme “The Body, the Light and Greece of Antiquity”.

The guest will also speak about the second exhibition she curated in 1997, with the theme “From Athens to New York”. A special mention will also be made to the exhibition about Nelly’s in Japan in 1999, on the initiative of Theodoros Terzopoulos.

Nelly’s friend and supporter in the releases of her first albums, Dimitris Tsitouras, will also speak on the show.
