“Our Town”: Walking through Nikos Vatopoulos’ Athens | 15 Dec. 2025, 22:00

On Monday 15 December 2025 at 22:00 Athens time, “Our Town” on Voice of Greece hosts journalist and author Nikos Vatopoulos for an intimate conversation with Themis Rodamitis, prompted by his new book “From the Museum to Kypseli”, part of Metaichmio’s series “Routes in Athens.”

Vatopoulos speaks about the city he so deeply cherishes — Athens — its neighbourhoods, its rhythms, the daily itineraries that shape his relationship with it, its unseen corners and its quiet, poetic aura.

He reflects on the city’s distinctive districts: its streets and meeting places, its open spaces, the elements that reveal Athens’ particular beauty and render it, in their own way, a livable city. He offers invitations toward a more nuanced understanding of Athens and sparks for further exploration, grounded in the belief that “urban wandering is, above all, a journey into the self.”

Produced and presented by Themis Rodamitis
