“Our Town” welcomes the distinguished poet Antonis Fostieris | 10 Nov. 2025, 22:00

On Monday, 10 November 2025, from 22:00 to 23:00 (Athens time), “Our Town” on Voice of Greece hosts the distinguished and multi-awarded poet Antonis Fostieris — one of the most significant voices in contemporary Greek poetry and a leading representative of the Generation of the ’70s.

In an open-hearted conversation with Themis Rodamitis, Fostieris reflects on the poets who marked his life, particularly during his stay in Paris — a period that became a springboard for inspiration and creative renewal. With nostalgia, he also recalls his close poet-friends of the same generation, many of whom have passed away in recent years.

He will further speak about his long-standing contribution to the Third Programme of Hellenic Radio, the invaluable literary magazine “Η Λέξη” (“The Word”) which he co-edited with Thanasis Niarchos, and will read poems dedicated to the listeners of Voice of Greece.

Produced and presented by Themis Rodamitis
Broadcast: Monday, 10 November 2025, 22:00–23:00 (Athens time)– with a repeat at 05:00–06:00.
