SUDAN: From the War Zone to the Greek Streets | 01 Feb. 2026, 11:00

This Sunday 1 February 2026 at 11:00 am. (Athens time) on “Infinitely Curious”, the English-language program of Voice of Greece, we follow journeys that rarely become headlines — journeys that begin with war in Sudan and continue through borders, paperwork, waiting rooms, and hope.

Presented by Katerina Batzaki, the episode looks beyond statistics to the human stories of displacement, survival, and the difficult search for home in Greece.

Featuring voices from the front lines of reality — Alexia Tsouni, award-winning filmmaker and human rights activist preparing to travel to Sudan; Eleni Kagiou, lawyer with the Greek Council for Refugees who helped reunite a Sudanese family in Greece; and Mustafa Ahmed, Sudanese activist and community organizer based in Athens — the broadcast asks what happens after escape.

Because when war ends on paper, it doesn’t end in life.

Production – Presentation: Katerina Batzaki
Broadcast: Sunday, 01 February, at 11:00 a.m. (Athens time)
