The week of 15–21 September 2025 is dedicated to poet Tasos Kapernaros.
Tasos Kapernaros was born in Mani. He studied Law but chose to pursue journalism, working in various media outlets and for many years at ERT.
He has published four poetry collections (Oionoi Oionei, Plethron 1984; Akeldama, Iridanos 1987; Akeldama / Discourse on the Tobacco Question, 1990; Osimerai, Kedros 1997) and a short story collection, Loutra (Baths, Kedros 1992). He is a member of the Journalists’ Union of Athens Daily Newspapers (ESIEA) and the Hellenic Authors’ Society.
