On Sunday, 31 August 2025, from 12:00 to 14:00 Athens time, Voice of Greece’s program “Our Town” presents “The Universal Mikis”—a creator who was recognized and honored across the globe by millions who saw in him a human symbol of world peace and culture.
The episode will feature Mikis Theodorakis’ film music for internationally acclaimed movies (Z, Serpico, Phaedra, Zorba the Greek, The Lovers of Terruel and more) and songs performed by great artists who brought his work worldwide recognition (The Beatles, Édith Piaf, Milva, Georges Moustaki, Al Bano, Perry Como and Shirley Bassey – among others).
