On Saturday, 18 July 2026, at 12:00 (Athens time), Voice of Greece’s program “Our Town” presents the second part of Themis Rodamitis’ conversation with acclaimed singer Vasilis Lekkas.
Vasilis Lekkas is among the artists who seek the highest form of poetry through song, remain devoted to timeless musical works, and pursue meaningful artistic collaboration and dialogue with younger generations of Greek musicians. In the second part of the interview, he reflects on significant artistic and personal moments from his long and distinguished career in Greek music.
He speaks about his collaborations and encounters with some of Greece’s most influential composers and musicians, including Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Giannis Markopoulos, Nikos Spathas, Giorgos Trantalidis, Vasso Alagianni, Nikos Kazantzis, Pitloglou, Stergiou, and Tilaveridis. He also shares experiences from the many concerts and recitals he has given throughout Greece and abroad.
