On Thursday, 02 October 2025, at 12:00 am. (Athens time), the program “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou welcomes to the Voice of Greece studio Vassilis Lambropoulos, C. P. Cavafy Professor Emeritus of Classical Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Michigan. His presence in Greece coincides with the recent two-day symposium “Aspects of Contemporary Poetry: Institutions, Voices, Networks”, organized at the Research Center for the Humanities in Athens.
The distinguished scholar speaks about his personal and academic journey from Athens to Michigan, his contribution to the study and international promotion of Modern Greek literature, the forms and reception of today’s literary writing, and, of course, “the Cavafy Phenomenon” and its broader implications.
