On Thursday, 8 October 2026, at 12:00 Athens time, “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou welcomes Yannis Ktenas, who holds a PhD in political philosophy and social theory from Panteion University, to the Voice of Greece studio. The occasion is the recent release by Plithos Publications of the Greek edition of “The Uncontrollability of the World”, an essay by the distinguished German sociologist and philosopher Hartmut Rosa.
Ktenas, who served as the edition’s academic editor and contributed an illuminating afterword, discusses the existential dimension of Rosa’s political thought. He explores Rosa’s critique of the prevailing view of the world as a realm of calculation, exploitation, manipulation, and absolute control—a view that gives rise to crises and unhappiness—as well as the need to renew our relationship with life and re-enchant the world.
