On the occasion of the historic meeting between Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Leo XIV—taking place 1,700 years after the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea—Voice of Greece is adapting its programming to present special news coverage and interviews with representatives of the Orthodox and Catholic Churches, as well as experts in theology and geopolitics.
Specifically, on Thursday 27 November—the day of the Pontiff’s arrival in Constantinople—Giorgos Dionysopoulos will be in the Voice of Greece studio for a two-hour news program, from 18:00 – 20:00 (Athens time) featuring:
• Dimitris Tzanidakis, international affairs expert and political analyst
• Archimandrite Isidoros–Charalambos Katsos, Assistant Professor at the Department of Theology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
• His Eminence Ioannis, Metropolitan of Zambia and Mozambique

On Friday 28 November, the day of the historic meeting between Pope Leo and Patriarch Bartholomew, from 14:00 to 16:00 (Athens time), Natasa Vissarionos and Prokopis Agelopoulos will welcome to the Voice of Greece studio Dr. Efstathios Lianos-Liantis, Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Social Theology and the Study of Religion at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in the geopolitics of religion and religious diplomacy. Also participating in the program will be:
