Prompted by the recent inclusion of Serifos’ mining landscapes and structures in the World Monuments Fund list — as one of 25 globally significant cultural heritage sites in need of protection — the show features a conversation with Ioannis Spilanis, Professor Emeritus at the University of the Aegean’s Department of Environment and Director of both the Aegean Sustainable Tourism Observatory and the Laboratory for Local and Island Development.
