On Thursday, 18 June 2026, at 12:00 Athens time, “Imprint”, hosted by Fuli Zavitsanou, welcomes Argyris Archakis, Professor of Discourse Analysis and Sociolinguistics in the Department of Philology at the University of Patras and scientific coordinator of the innovative TRACE research project, “Tracing Racism in Anti-Racist Discourse: A Critical Approach to European Public Discourse on the Migration and Refugee Crisis.”
He discusses the TRACE project, the central concept of liquid racism, and the study of the ambiguities and overlaps between racist and anti-racist discourse in the public sphere. He also examines the role of linguistic research in fostering critical reflection and raising citizens’ social awareness.
