Stavroula Karali

Stavroula Karali was born in Boston and raised in Nea Smyrni. Her family roots trace back to Asia Minor, specifically Cappadocia and Smyrna. She is a PhD candidate in Social Theology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Turkish and Modern Asian Studies from the University of Athens. She has also pursued studies in Journalism, European History and Culture, Film Directing, and Film History. She has been working as a journalist since 1992, spending most of her career as editor-in-chief at MEGA TV, contributing to both news and entertainment programming. She has been a member of the Journalists’ Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (JUADN) since 2000. Over the past year, she served as editor-in-chief at ERTnews and has now embarked on a new chapter with Voice of Greece.
