Stamatis Krimizis is an accredited academic and space scientist with a distinguished career as a pioneer researcher in the field of space exploration programs of the solar system in the USA and NASA with an international reputation.
Krimizis has also been the Principal Investigator for the Low Energy Charged Particle Experiment (LECP) on Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 in a time when his colleagues thought he was crazy and that this spacecraft would no go any further than the earth. It not only reached Pluto but entered interstellar space and beyond, is now 45 years old and still going giving valuable information about other forms of existence. To honor him, his colleagues even gave an asteroid his name.
