In a world of unbridled consumerism, many of us are drowning in stuff.

Minimalism on the other hand is becoming a favorite among more and more people, a lifestyle that emphasizes simplicity, functionality, and the value of experiences over material possessions.

In other words, ‘Less is more’ has been a popular trend in recent years but beyond aesthetics, how is living with less linked to wellbeing?

Tune in this Sunday 17 December 2023 @ 11am to the Infinitely Curious program of ERT and Voice of Greece with Katerina Batzaki and listen to Buddhist monk Nick Keomahavong explaining why many men from around the world who have come to ordain in Thailand to become Buddhist monks, having less have brought them inner peace. Learn from professor emeritus of psychology at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, Tim Kasser, why consumerism will never go away and why minimalists choose to work and earn less so they can focus on other things in life”. Dive in to the life of Kale Flodin and learn how and why he left the city to live in a cottage house in Sweden with his wife and dog.
