Journeys basking in Greek light with Giannis Papoutsakis | 09.18.22

A two-hour tribute of love and memory to two great Greek actors , Irene Papas and Kostas Kazakos, whose loss was also a loss to our culture, was presented on Sunday, September 18th by Giannis Papoutsakis on the show ”Journeys basking in Greek light”. The tribute to Irene Papas featured music and songs by Mikis Theodorakis from the films “Z”, “Electra”, “Iphigenia” and “Psst, Girls” by Takis Morakis, in which the great actress starred, as well as excerpts from “The Free Besieged” by Giannis Markopoulos and “Odes” by Vangelis Papathanasiou, in which she participated. The tribute to Kostas Kazakos featured music from his films: “Oi sfaires den gyrizoun piso”, “I leoforos tou misous”, “Pethaino kathe ximeroma”, “Erotiki symphonia”, and excerpts from the historical theatrical performance “Our great circus” by Iakovos Kampanellis, with music by Stavros Xarchakos.
