K. H. MYRIS, BETWEEN THEATER AND MUSIC: K. H. Myris and his collaboration with Giannis Markopoulos | 09 Jan. 2025

We have repeatedly turned to two historic albums that Myris and Markopoulos co-created: Ithageneia (Citizenship) and Hroniko (Chronicle). A big part of today’s track list of ours originates from a third, 1983 album of theirs titled Sirens. It is a work that was commissioned in 1981 by the Athens Festival. As Myris noted, Sirens falls into the same logic and ideology as the other works – registering the traumas of his generation, traumas that were national, collective and individual.
