Four selected traditional Greek tales from the collection “Traditional Tales of Hellenism” which are an important part of our cultural heritage, are presented by the show “Narratives – Fairy tales for Children and Grown Ups“, on Saturday 06.07.2024 at 17 :00 to 18:00 Athens time from the frequency of “Voice of Greece”.
In the first part of the two-episodes tribute, we listen to the traditional folk tale “O Dakryelias” which comes from the Hellenism of Livissi of Makri in Asia Minor and was preserved by Adamantia Xiridou. She has identified a variant of this particular tale in the collection “Tales of Livissi and Makri” published by the Center for Asia Minor Studies, Athens 1976.
