The CEO of the Elefsina Port Authority S.A., Mr. Apostolos Kamarinakis, is the guest on “Saturday Shift”, the weekend special edition of the show “Fair Winds and Following Seas” with Antonis Karagiannakis on Voice of Greece, on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Mr. Kamarinakis is also a Rear Admiral of the Hellenic Coast Guard (ret.), a Civil Engineer (NTUA), Vice President of the Hellenic Ports Association (HELME), and Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Transport (EECM).

He speaks to us and analyzes the role and importance of the Elefsina Port Authority (O.L.E.) S.A., which is responsible for a large land zone of the port extending approximately 50 km from Skaramagkas to Pachi Megaron, where the largest industries in the country operate, the two largest shipyards, refineries, and shipbuilding units, many businesses, as well as significant historical industrial buildings.

“The area has many peculiarities and potential for further development,” says Mr. Kamarinakis, adding, “This is why the work carried out in recent years by O.L.E. S.A. is multifaceted, with the aim of modernizing the port services offered, upgrading port infrastructures, and protecting the marine environment for safe navigation, so that Elefsina evolves into a modern commercial port of high standards, benefiting the national economy and the local community.
