Eleni Vallianou, a native of Kefalonia, is a heroine of the French Resistance. She fought passionately and fiercely against the fascists, was captured, tortured, and executed by the Gestapo on August 15, 1945, in Nice. Her code name in the Resistance’s secret groups in Cannes was “La Veilleuse,” meaning “The Watcher.” The show “Time in Greece” and Nikolas Angelidis pay tribute to this great Greek woman, sharing details of her remarkable actions and featuring songs from the French Resistance.
