On Wednesday, January 10th, “Voices and Music” hosted Georgia Tryfona.
The Greek soprano has an impressive resume, having studied singing and musical theater at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her personal repertoire ranges from baroque to late romanticism and operetta.
She has appeared at the Putbus Theatre, Handel Hall, Handel Festival Hall, Nikolaisaal Potsdam, Rheinsberg Castle and Stettin Theatre, and as a soloist with well-known orchestras such as the Komische Oper Berlin, the Staatskapelle Halle, the New Chamber Orchestra of Potsdam, the Johann Strauß Orchestra of Wiesbaden and the Babelsberg Film Orchestra. She has been awarded at the Schloss Rheinsberg International Chamber Opera Song Competition in 2018 and the special prize of the 2nd International Song Competition “Giulio Perotti” 2012 / “Best Aria Mozart”.
