The current affairs as seen in the headlines, and also an interview with Giorgos Stratouris, an expatriate from Lima, Peru, who left Megara 11 years ago and, having nothing to fall back on, made the long and arduous journey towards the realization of his dream, to work in the men’s clothing industry. Not only did he achieve it but also he has now become the creator and owner of one of the most famous handmade menswear fashion houses in Lima. His business now has a staff capable of offering a wide scope of services to his customers, from sewing costumes, shirts, and other types of clothing to handmade shoes and cufflinks. As he describes, in Lima there is a category of middle-class customers who can afford to pay for handmade clothing for special occasions in their lives. Giorgos Stratouris returned to Greece for a vacation after 9 whole years and is trying, in these few days, to make up for lost time with his family. In this interview on the show Two faces… he vividly describes how he decided to leave his homeland and go on such a long journey, the difficulties he faced during the early years until he made progress, and also his persistence in succeeding the realization of his dream, even at the expense of his personal life, as he confesses.
