The Hellenic Maritime Museum is organizing the 14th Panhellenic Conference of Maritime Museums on 24 and 25 April, at the museum’s premises in Zea Marina.
Ms Anagnostopoulou–Paloumpi noted, among other things, that the conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
With the special theme “From the Past to the Present: Contemporary Museum Practices in the Presentation of Maritime Cultural Heritage”, the conference highlights the role of maritime museums in the modern era and the need to redefine their relationship with the public.
The aim of the event is to strengthen cooperation and networking among Greek maritime museums, as well as to encourage the exchange of experience and best practices for the preservation and promotion of maritime heritage.
Representatives of maritime museums, cultural bodies and institutions from across Greece and abroad will take part in the proceedings.
