On the program, journalist, author and President of the Montreal branch of the Lyceum of Greek Women, Justine Frangouli-Argyris, spoke from Montreal, Canada. Ms. Frangouli-Argyris participated in her capacity as Chair of the Anniversary Committee marking the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal. She referred to the history of the Community, the proclamation of the City of Laval declaring March as Greek National Heritage Month, the contribution of the Greek Diaspora in Canada, and the role of Canadians of Greek descent in the country’s development. She also announced that, in collaboration with the Greek Ministry of Culture, the exhibition “Homer – Heroic Greece” will be inaugurated on 04 June 2026. The exhibition will feature ancient Greek artifacts from the Homeric era, on loan from various museums in Greece, as part of the celebrations for the 120th anniversary of the Greek Community.
The program also featured, from Brussels, Daphne Teleioni, President of the Greek non-profit organization “It Was a Little Ship”, who spoke about the wide range of initiatives that bring Greek children in Brussels into contact with the Greek language, history and culture through play, creative activities and the arts.
