Greeks Around the World: Kiki Tsakaldimi (Greece in Argentina) | 15 Feb. 2026

Kiki Tsakaldimi, the woman who climbed Mount Everest in 2017, was in Argentina to conquer the summit of Mount Aconcagua and spoke with Dr. Christina Tsardikou, host of the program “Greeks Around the World – Greece in Argentina.”

Kiki Tsakaldimi was born in Alexandroupoli, where she still resides today, and since 2021 she has been Co-Founder and Ambassador of Higher Than Everest, an organization with life-changing initiatives around the globe. Guided by the motto “Everything is possible, as long as we believe it,” she achieved the first all-female Greek expedition to Mount Everest in 2017 — despite having no prior mountaineering experience.
Since then, she has climbed the highest peaks on four continents, most recently Mount Aconcagua (6,962 m) in Argentina, among others. When she is not on a mountain expedition or leading one of her company’s programs, she delivers motivational talks at schools, conferences and forums. She is also the organizer of TEDxAlexandroupolis, a personal milestone that became a pioneering initiative for the Greek province back in 2016, and she writes for her personal blog.
An ambassador of physical and mental empowerment through exercise and proper nutrition, she inspires people to live consciously, with wellbeing and harmony, integrating professional success into a balanced, holistic lifestyle. Through her actions, she also supports organizations such as “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” (The Smile of the Child) and FairLife Lung Cancer Care. Her next mountaineering goal is to complete the Seven Summits, with expeditions planned to Antarctica, Alaska and Oceania.
