Fifty-two years after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the program presented Part One of a historical interview with Alevromageiros, who fought in Cyprus in 1974 and witnessed firsthand the events that left a lasting mark on Hellenism and led to the island’s division.
The first part of the interview focused on the decade preceding the invasion, examining the political, military, and international developments that shaped the course of events and ultimately led to the Cyprus tragedy.
