The program “Time in Greece” and Nikolas Angelidis welcome two creators of the remarkable theatre–documentary production “Listen, Kid… Piraeus Was Bombed.”
Writer Spyros Asimenios (together with Ermis Peristeris) and actress Lydia Giannousaki speak about the production, currently staged at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus. The play brings memories to the surface and revisits the true story that history wrote in dark letters: the bombing of Piraeus by Allied forces on 11 January 1944 — one of the most harrowing chapters of our country’s past.
We learn how events led to that moment, what happened in Piraeus on that fateful day, and what followed in its aftermath.
All this is brought to the stage by Menental Theatre Group.
