Poet of the Week: Giorgos Gotis | Sunday 08.10.2023

The Poet of the Week 02 – 08.10.2023 is Giorgos Gotis

Giorgos Gotis was born in Andravida, Ilia, in 1956. He studied dentistry. He has published eight poetry collections: “Early Morn” (1988), “Natural History” (1991), “Hidden Image” (1999), “Chronography” (2007), “Without a Map” (2011), “Elementary Bodies” (2015), “Converging Winds” (2018), “Journey in Shade” (2021), and prose titled “More Veneto” (2013). He has written and published essays in both magazines and newspapers. He was honored with the poetry prize of the magazine “Diavazo” in 2008 for his poetry collection “Chronography” and in 2017 with the Kostas and Eleni Ourani prize of the Academy of Athens for his entire work. His poems have been translated and published in magazines and anthologies in various countries.
