On Thursday’s show, November 10, a day after the great strike and demonstration of workers in the major cities of the country, Prokopis Angelopoulos and Christos Pagonis commented on the issues of Current Affairs, mainly focusing on the predominant issue which prompted the reactions of the workers, the cost of living crisis.
Afterwards, the vice-president of the European Parliament, SYRIZA MEP, Dimitris Papadimoulis from Brussels, was asked to comment on what happened on the day of the strike, but also on the issues of wiretapping, polls and high cost of living, as well as what happened after the derby between Panathinaikos – Olympiacos and Marinakis’ statements. The first hour ended with international news by Ivana Djordjevic.
In the second part of the show, the president of the Federation of Hellenic American Educators and Cultural Associations of America, Mrs. Stella Kokolis, was hosted in the studio. The distinguished expatriate and pioneer in the issues of Greek Language Education in the USA spoke about her place of origin, Andros, her decision to become a teacher, the challenges she faced in the United States, where she immigrated in 1967, her relationships with the Blessed Archbishop of North America, Iakovos, and their cooperation in an effort to introduce the Greek language into American schools, as well as the general effort that is being made today to keep the spirit of Hellenism and tradition alive among second and third generation expatriates.
