Don’t miss this week on Imprint with Fuli Zavitsanou: ”Women in ancient Greece” with guest Prof. Kostas Vlassopoulos | 11 Apr. 2024, 12:00

The show “Imprint” with Fuli Zavitsanou, meets with Kostas Vlassopoulos, Professor of Ancient History at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete to talk to us about the new online course entitled “Women in Ancient Greece” that starts on April 22nd at the Center for Open Online Courses ‘Mathesis’.

Our knowledge about ancient Greece is usually through the “male perspective”: It is primarily all about men, their achievements and their perspective. In this course, the renowned historian draws his attention to an ancient Greece through the “female perspective”: to the history of women in the ancient Greek world and the study of their sacrifices and achievements.

The show keeps track of the latest work by Greek artists in the global cultural sphere, informing us about art events, recent artistic production, and intellectual trends

Produced and presented by Fuli Zavitsanou
Broadcast: Thursday 11 April 2024, 12:00 Athens time
