“Narratives – Fairy tales for Children and Grown-ups'”: From proverbs to fairy tales | 01 June 2024, 17:00

There are some proverbs that we use very often in our daily lives. But do we ever wonder what folk tales lie behind them?

On Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 17:00 to 18:00 (Athens time), the show “Narratives -Fairy Tales for Children and Grown-ups” with Maria Karagiannaki-Iona, presents the first part of the book “Ten Proverbs Like Fairy Tales” by the author Afrouli Bersou (KEDROS publications), which tells the stories behind ten famous Greek proverbs.

The protagonists of our story are Katerina and Giorgos, two young siblings who spend their holidays in the village with their grandparents. Through their grandmother’s fairy tales, the children, and, along with them, our listeners, learn how ten well-known proverbs were established!
