On Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 12:00-13:00 (Athens time), the show “Our Town” will present the band MORA from Thessaloniki – a trio that has created a unique musical path, including elements of goth, darkwave, post punk, industrial, alternative, electro & soundtrack aesthetics. Its members are lead singer/guitarist Giorgos Tiacas, bassist Bakis Eftemidis and drummer Yannis Tomis.
In the studio, Giorgos Tiacas will talk about milestones in their career, their sui generis sound and their intense lyricism that straddles the line between poetry and literature. He will refer to the band’s studio albums, “Nitocris” and “Call of Cthulhu” and and his current project, which involves setting to music poems by Karyotakis, Cavafy, Anagnostakis.
Songwriter Dimitris Zervoudakis will also speak on the show about this very special and dynamic musical group, who made an impression during their performance at SKG music fest in Thessaloniki.
