Cleopatra Eleftheriadou on the show “Take Your Time” | 17 Jan. 2025

The talented mezzo-soprano and actress Cleopatra Eleftheriadou, who portrays young Maria Callas in the new ten-episode biographical series by ERT, “Maria: The Unknown Callas,” was featured on the show “Take Your Time” with Prokopis Agelopoulos.

The 20-year-old star, Cleopatra Eleftheriadou, is a classically trained singer born in Athens. She graduated from the Alimos Music School and was a member of the National Opera’s children’s choir. She began studying vocal performance at the age of 14 under the tutelage of soprano Maria Katrivesi. From 2011 to 2022, she participated in the National Conservatory of Athens’ children’s choir under the direction of Elpida Paolino, later joining the adult choir led by Spyros Klapsis.

Since 2022, she has been studying acting and musical theater at the Veaki Drama School and the Theatre of Changes. That same year, she was invited to perform at the British Embassy in Athens during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and starred in the modern operetta “The Magic Violin” by Nikos Xanthoulis at the Athens Concert Hall.

In 2016, during her time with the National Opera, she performed at the Presidential Mansion in honor of U.S. President Barack Obama. In August 2023, she participated in the opera evening “August Full Moon” at the Ancient Theater of Zea alongside tenor Dimitris Paksoglou and soprano Maria Katrivesi. The following month, she attended Greece’s first Voice Camp in Amaliada, taught by renowned professionals. In September 2023, she also performed in a major concert supporting the Ecovillage of Agapokoinotita at the Veikos Grove Open Theater.
